A person who is performing stunt is called a stuntman, stuntwoman or daredevil. It’s their career and they often have to perform some wild things that can lead to death. There is an inherent risk in the performance of all stunt work; if one thing goes wrong, you’ll be lying dead on the floor, in most cases. We now bring you 15 deadliest stunts ever performed, and we can say these guys had luck on their side!

Living on the edge

Some people really like to play with fire, and stuntman Steve Hudis is a living proof of it. Steve jumped fifteen motorcycles, flew through a giant fireball and executed a safe landing. While some play with fire, some like to play with water. Professional escape artist Alex Mack wrangled his way out of six pairs of handcuffs and two leg irons to escape a spinning washing machine.

Maybe Alex found his inspiration for stunts in Harry Houdini? Houdini is the most famous magician and escape artist who performed many death-defying tricks. One of the most famous Houdini’s tricks is water-filled Chinese torture cell where has was handcuffed and placed upside down.

As Mack and Houdini, Nick Wallenda found his inspiration for stunts in the water. But being “imprisoned” in water isn’t really Nick’s thing so he decided to walk over Niagara Falls. He crossed a tightrope from the USA to Canada, and this stunt took forty minutes and a shit-ton of concentration to complete.

Risky but attractive

Some play with fire, water, but some really do enjoy risking their life upon the air. Omar Locklear became a famous daredevil for walking across the wings of an aircraft while it was in Midflight. Tragically Locklear died while performing his wing stunt; his plane caught fire and crashed, killing him and his assistant.

Philippe Petit wasn’t performing his stunts on aircraft, but he did walk between the twin towers of New York City’s World Trade Centre. He passed up and back eight times, delighting onlookers and pissing off the police. Petit walked a tightrope between buildings, but in Yunnan province of China, forty year old tightrope walked, travelled mid- flight between two hot air balloons. He managed to do it in 38.5 seconds, which is enough time for us to yawn. Guys, you should be careful, you can’t cheat death forever.
