Australia’s strong and mature crocodile management program can take a lot of credit for keeping fatalities low. In Queensland, the state government has passed laws allowing some areas to be declared crocodile “exclusion zones” where crocodiles will not be tolerated. In zones considered to be at higher risk of “crocodile-human interaction” rangers have been catching and removing crocs bigger than 2 meters long.

Keep an Eye for the Signs

In dangerous places, the government is doing all they can to prevent the accidents. If they’re helping to the citizens; then the citizens should help themselves as well. Read the safety signs wherever you head off, a minute of reading can save your life.
