America’s Got Talent proved the world wrong when thirteen-year-old Laura Bretan took the stage and brought the house down with her exemplary opera singing. When the skinny and awkward Laura first came out on stage, the judges thought that she would amount to nothing. She could hardly answer when one of the judges asked her if she was afraid. Then she started to sing. While she was singing, the camera focused on some of the audience. Most of them were surprised to the voice that’s coming out of Laura. You would also see some people looking into each other, expressing disbelief about the operatic voice that they have never heard before especially not from a thirteen-year-old.

In America’s Got Talent video coverage of Laura’s audition for the show, it could be seen how nervous she was at the backstage. Everything was first time for her. While she was waiting for her turn at the backstage, she witnessed how Simon Cowell delivered his feedback to the two auditionees who came before her. Cowell is known for giving no-holds-barred comments on auditionees. In fact, this has become his signature character in all TV shows he works on either as producer or judge or most often both.
